During the academic year 2022-2023, SKEMA Business School awarded support and merit scholarships totalling 1.4 million euros. In the 2023 academic year, SKEMA renewed its partnership with Areli, continuing the Emergence programme. The programme enables two students to study at SKEMA through to the funding provided by Areli and SKEMA Business School, which covers 75% of the tuition fee.
"Thanks to this scholarship, I was able to join the SKEMA's Master in Management (PGE) programme. I am pleased with the course content, especially in law. I appreciate the diversity of the faculty; everything is going well for me. I am strongly considering choosing the law track in the second semester," explains Abdelkader Messaoudi, 19, a third-year student in the PGE programme on the Lille campus. Hailing from Roubaix, he attended a preparatory class at Notre Dame du Grandchamp high school in Versailles.
A valuable partnership
The comprehensive Emergence programme enables its beneficiaries to have access to tailor-made support over time. "The goal of the Emergence programme is indeed to enable young talents from modest backgrounds to pursue the studies they often desire, which are lengthy, selective, or expensive, and to build a professional future that matches their potential and ambition," explains Tiphaine Duquesnes (SKEMA 2006), manager of the Emergence programme at Aréli.
In addition to financial support, students are constantly linked with a mentor, a definite asset for obtaining support, advice, and connecting to the business world. Kenza Mazouni, 21, a first-year master's student in the PGE programme and selected as part of the Emergence programme, benefits from such support. "My mentor is Tiphaine Duhamel, HR director of the DLPK group. It's very interesting to have this support. I want to work in consulting, management, strategy or even international trade, and I can thus build a professional network," she says.
