SKEMA's aspiring entrepreneurs win Open Innovation Games

Published on 26 April 2022

Students from the SKEMA Ventures Club won the first prize in Open Innovation Games, a competition that pits several student delegations against each other to tackle concrete problems posed by entrepreneurs and companies.

In April, several students from the SKEMA Ventures Club student association took part in Open Innovation Games, an event that offers students from management schools the opportunity to examine problems related to entrepreneurship.

The team of Esteban Blactot, vice-president of SKEMA Ventures Club in Sophia Antipolis and an M1 student in the Master in Management (PGE) programme, had to think about promoting Uniforme's products to the student community. "L'Uniforme is a startup that markets and customises clothing for student associations. The challenge was to make this company known to our peers. Then we had to present the results of our work to a jury of professionals," explains Esteban Blactot.

Jean-Pierre Nadir as guest speaker

To coach the students during the day, several personalities from the entrepreneurship sector were present, such as Agathe Laurent Richard (founder of Fund3r, an investment fund specialising in NFT and WEB3), and Julie Leroy (founder of GVentures, the first student investment fund in France). "We were able to interact with the coaches and jury members in an informal way, which was really enriching.

Among the speakers were Jean-Pierre Nadir, founder of EasyVoyage and a juror on the TV show 'Who Wants to be My Partner?' and Dimitri Des Cognets, co-founder of the Up2School media group," explains the student, who is doing his gap year internship at STATION F.

Thanks to their victory, the SKEMA Ventures Club team from Sophia Antipolis won €500 and six months of incubation at SchoolLab.
