Looking back at this past year, my MSc Luxury Hospitality and Innovation journey at SKEMA and Ecole Ferrières has been an extremely enriching and rewarding experience, both on a professional and personal level. Despite the Covid-19 crisis, this double-degree has given me the opportunity to deeply explore all the dimensions of luxury hospitality management, thanks to the combination of practical immersive experiences, real projects and ad hoc courses. This master taught me how hospitality follows the principle of “miscere utile dulci” (Horace), that is, combining business with pleasure, the more economic and managerial part of an institution with its more creative counterpart. Thanks to the knowledge and skills acquired during this master programme, I have been able to join the industry with an internship at a five-star luxury boutique hotel in Corsica as general manager’s assistant.
