Class of 2020-21   "This MSc has given gave me an understanding of luxury from two different perspectives - American and European. Despite the travel restrictions, I was still fortunate to spend the first semester in Raleigh and the second semester in Paris. Since I received my undergraduate degree in marketing, it has been a fluid transition for me into this MSc, as it focuses a lot on luxury brand management, communication, and brand strategies.   This has been a life-changing experience for me. Throughout the year, we have been pushed, and have developed our skills through presentations, case studies, and challenging projects that were done with leading luxury brands in the luxury industry, including Dior, Chanel, Hyatt, Porsche, JM Weston & others.   Connecting with professionals from leading luxury brands was my favourite part of the programme - learning about industry insights, having meaningful discussions, and building long-lasting relations with experts in the industry. These interactions gave me a deeper understanding of what it takes to manage a luxury brand, communicate with luxury consumers, be prepared for uncertainties, and lead with ethics and sustainability in mind.   I have also found my passion for storytelling around sustainability, building a community around the brand, and inspiring customers through authentic communication. After completing this challenging year, I can confidently say that I have gained the skills to be successful in my future career in the luxury industry. Now I am ready to bring creative solutions to the challenges that the luxury industry is facing today and I can not think of a better place than Paris to start my career in that field.
